Corn cob processing: a method to check the moisture content of corn
1. Direct crush
The corn with a moisture content of 9% to 15% is directly crushed. Firstly, the crusher is washed with a small amount of sample, the crushed material is discarded, and then about 30g of the sample is quickly crushed, mixed uniformly, and placed in a closed container for use. In the second drying method, the second drying is performed.
2.Two or two drying
Corn with moisture content greater than 15% or less than 9% adopts twice drying. Drying for the first time: Weigh about 100g of the sample with moisture greater than 15%, and put it in a container of constant weight to spread it evenly.
Adjust the corn moisture to 9% ~ 15% in the oven at 60 ~ 80 ℃. After the adjusted sample is taken out of the oven, place it in the laboratory atmosphere for at least 2h to reduce the sample to the laboratory temperature.
Weigh the adjusted sample, then quickly crush about 39g, mix evenly, and put it in a closed container for use. If the moisture is less than 9%, weigh about 100g of the sample and place it in the laboratory atmosphere until 9% to 15% moisture is obtained.
Second drying: Weigh about 8g of the sample in an aluminum box that has been baked to a constant weight, and put it flat at the bottom of the box. Put the aluminum box cover on the bottom of the box, put it on the drying net around the thermometer in the oven, bake it at 130 ~ 133 ℃ for 4h, then take out the aluminum box, cover it, put it in a desiccator and cool to room temperature for weighing.
